Brian Walsh
Brian Walsh is a rocket of musical power. Akin to Hunter S. Thompson, he’s traveled the world climbing the face of mountains, eating live insects, and playing music with great people. He has a beautiful family, a party of five. He’s premiered pieces by Luigi Nono, Girard Grisey, and Tom Johnson and made music with Nels Cline, Bright Eyes, and Muhal Richard Abrahms. Brian is the one we call, in the middle of the night, when our solos aren’t meedly enough, our screams aren’t screamy enough, and we haven’t reached the height of transcendence, yet. Everyone wants Brian Walsh to play in their band. He’s our grand-salve, our voice of angst, our principal soloist, and our friend.
