Patrick Shiroishi
Patrick Shiroishi is pretty good husband, a decent son and a slightly better nephew. He’s also a total monkish saxophone shredder, capable of absolutely anything, and in any subtle and or blazing or blistering or brittle way. He is really good at eating bad-for-you food and drink. He is our resident hilarious genius who has made work with Keiji Haino, Tatsuya Yoshida, Brandon Shimoda, Emma Ruth Rundle, and By Storm, has made a radio chapbook of the stories of Asian American musicians on Dublab called Tangled, has screamed a solo over Giacinco Scelsi, has played at the Museum of Contemporary Art, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Natural History Museum, the International Museum of Surgical Sciences and has toured around the world in various solo and band configurations including The Armed, and Upsilon Acrux. We adore his honesty and his commitment, his musical leadership in our band, and his prolific career as a performer composer. Patrick is the epitome of what it means to be a musician this century.
